Kessler – Game Info

Game Name: Kessler
Genre: Adventure
Lore: Kessler is a small indie game designed and developed by Max Clay (A final year games design and Art student at the University of Southampton) which is a 2D sidescrolling Walking simulator/lore finding adventure game.
Ravaged by falling debris and celestial bodies, the world of “Kessler” is destroyed and in a post-apocalyptic state, society has become divided living in secluded undergrown bunkers in order to ensure the survival of humanity.
The game follows a young resident of one of these bunkers called Donald (They/Them) who is a very curious teenager who was born after the collapse.
Donald has never seen anything outside the confinements of the bunker and spent most of their life asking their elders questions about the outside but receiving the same answer every time or getting very vague and misleading answers.
However, One day Donald has had enough of receiving the same answer and decides to go and see the outside for themself, follow Donald on their journey in search of answers and uncover the mysteries of the old world.

When Does the game release?

Release Date: As of Now (25th May 2023) Kessler is released and downloadable from Itch.io via the link above or the button found on this websites homepage. The game will also eventually be released on steam however that release date is TBD.

Kessler is being showcase in many different events over the next few weeks and months of 2023

Barclays Eagle Labs Games Frenzy: On the 25th of May 2023, Kessler is lucky enough to have a stand at a games frenzy hosted by Barclays Bank’s business accelerator program, Barclays Eagle Labs. The event will be held at One Churchill Place, London, E14 5HP, in the Canary Wharf area of London. The event runs from 15:30 to 20:00.

DEGREE SHOW “ESCAPE/ESC” – Winchester (15th – 19th June 2023): The games design and art degree show will be held at Winchester School of Art campus in Winchester. Kessler will be showcased to members of the public and friends and family at this event. The games design and art degree show will be held at Winchester School of Art campus at the University of Southampton, located at Park Avenue, Winchester SO23 8DL on June 15th, 2023.

DEGREE SHOW “ESCAPE/ESC” – London (21st – 22nd June 2023): The games design and art degree show will be held at Winchester School of Art campus in Winchester. Kessler will be showcased to industry professionals at this event. The games design and art degree show will be held at Hoxton Arches.
